Preakness
will be running it’s 151st race, in Laurel, MD on Saturday! Post time is 6:50. The Clubhouse will be serving up Black Eyed
Susan drinks along with Orange
Crush specials, and the food specials will be Old Bay
Wings, Steamed
Shrimp and Berger Cookies! The bar opens at 4:00 pm and the kitchen at 6:00 pm. And why not “put a little
money on it” and purchase a horse for $20?!! It may win you some
!$!
Speaking of money – after Preakness
you might as well stay for a lil’ Bar Bingo and Queen
of Hearts! That fun starts at 7:30 pm.
Can you believe the pool will be opening
in 10 days??!! Yep – TEN days!
Wahoo! Have you registered? Please see the attached for pool registration, summer camp info, pool magnet fundraiser, summer shuffleboard league and the Aquaknight Chipotle fundraiser!
We will have a Summer Shuffleboard League meeting on Thursday, May 21st at 7:00 pm. Certainly not mandatory, but a good time to ask questions if you’re interested! Can’t make the meeting? Just email back or text Mary Fran at 301-335-3106. Don’t have a partner? No problem! Not playing softball this year? Why not continue your support by playing shuffleboard?! Super fun and making new friends all at once!
Memorial Day
weekend will be
camping, Mass on Sunday with a breakfast afterwards, softball on Sunday, family fun games on Monday with picnicking in the Grove! Bill Judd will be “spinning tunes” all day Sunday and Monday. I bet it’ll be a card playin’, corn hole throwin’, softball winning (or whining)’, egg
tossin’, hamburger
flippin’, cold beverage slurpin’ sittin’ around the
campfire kinda weekend and I hope you join in! Invite some friends!
I can’t think of much else, hope to see you soon!
