Prince Georges Council No 2809 Charities, Inc., (aka, Charity Corporation) is a registered non-profit organization, staffed by non-paid volunteers, to evaluate and oversee the distribution of donations (compliant with bylaws and IRS guidelines) for helping those in need, as they are made known to the Knights of Columbus, PG Council 2809.
The Charity Corporation was the vision of the late Past Grand Knight of PGC 2809, Tom Lank, to assist with the numerous requests presented to the Council.
As a Catholic men’s fraternal organization, we strive to live the words of Pope Francis: “Love and charity, are service, helping others, serving others. There are many people who spend their lives in this way, in the service of others. … When you forget yourself and think of others, this is love!
