This weekend isn’t looking spectacular for the pool – but you never know, we live in Maryland – anything can happen! Mass will happen Sunday morning at 9:00 am at the Grotto, with breakfast 
afterwards. It is also opening day for the Softball League – the first game starts at 11:00 am. Thank you to everyone who supported the Aquaknight Swim Team last night at Chipotle! It was a great turnout and we are very thankful for all the kindness and patronage, we really appreciate it! Just a little help needed in trimming the bushes on the side of the Clubhouse and the side of the lower pavilion, and if anyone has a power washer, the front “patio” of the Clubhouse needs a good spray please. HUGE thanks to Katrina Bieler for fixing all the pool chair straps, to Tim and Susan Keifline for their hours and hours of hard work preparing the pool for the summer season, to Clyde Wilson for his expertise with the slide, white wash and coping stone, Doug Amann and Rich Little getting the snack bar ready for the kids (and adults) and Laura Hehman for agreeing to be the pool membership chairperson. THANK YOU ALL! It’s going to be a fun 
summer and it couldn’t happen without you and the rest of the volunteers who help day in and day out. Speaking of volunteers – how about giving an evening or two a month to help in the Clubhouse? We’re currently looking for bartenders and short order cooks (and you can be both

for Our Brothers ministry that the Council has sponsored for more than 25 years needs additional drivers for the program to continue. Work involves picking up boxes of donated bread from Bakery DeFrance in Rockville and delivering them to 2 or 3 specific charities in the District or Suburban Maryland. Time commitment is 3 hours once or twice per month on either a Tuesday or Wednesday. This Ministry is not restricted to K of C members only, and any family member or friends who might be willing to participate are welcome. Hugh’s life was marked by unwavering commitment to family, faith and service. will be running it’s 151st race, in Laurel, MD on Saturday! Post time is 6:50. The Clubhouse will be serving up Black Eyed 
Susan drinks along with Orange 
Crush specials, and the food specials will be Old Bay

Shrimp and Berger Cookies! The bar opens at 4:00 pm and the kitchen at 6:00 pm. And why not “put a little 
money on it” and purchase a horse for $20?!! It may win you some

gorgeous day – hope you get outdoors and take a walk, it’s a perfect day for it! Take your lunch OUTSIDE! Aaaannnndddd…..speaking of outside – big thanks to PGK John Foley who cleaned
up the Blessed Virgin Mary’s 
area in front of the Clubhouse, it looks so fresh and inviting! Also – as you know the pool will open Memorial Weekend Saturday and the grounds need some 
sprucing. Why not leave the wife alone, grab the kids and a rake, maybe some 
flowers, and donate just a few hours? The kids can have fun on the 
playgrounds, and you’ll be out of your wife’s hair! PERFECT early Mother’s Day 
present! Happy Cinco
de Mayo! The Clubhouse will be celebrating 
this fun holiday today with Birria Tacos, rice & beans for $12 or smothered ground beef, rice and bean burritos

Hello there everybody, I hope you’re doing well! It’s hard to believe that we’re running 
right into May in just a few short days! I’m excited! It’s going to be a fun summer, for sure! The Shuffleboard League concludes this Thursday with the Championship games starting at 7:00 pm. Representing Tuesday night is the Mom and Son dynamic dual, Noreen and Ryan Burns against Thursday nights’ Spirited Spouse’s Doug and Nannette Amann. The games are going to be fierce – come on up and cheer for your favorite team! Speaking of shuffleboard, the Clubhouse is having a summer league, only 9 weeks. Please see the attached. It’s a fun way to introduce shuffleboard, make and meet new friends! $40 a person with a crab 
picnic for all players at the end of the “season”. The Ladies of the Knights Yard Sale is SATURDAY!! Please see the attached flyer and tell

membership meeting was held last Wednesday at the Clubhouse. Attached are the 
notes from the meeting. I will forward the pool registration as soon as I can. The pool needs you and your friends!! Please spread the word!! Here is some information from the award winning Aquaknight SwimTeam: Aquaknight & MiniKnight registrations are now open. MiniKnight registration is first come first serve basis. If necessary, a waitlist will be created based on the date/time of registration. We are going to be using TeamSnap this season to help with communication, scheduling, and volunteering. Once you have registered, you will get an invitation to the TeamSnap app. Parent meeting is scheduled for 7pmTuesday May 26, 2026.Aquaknight Registration (Payments can be made during registration or in person by June 7th)MiniKnight Registration (Invoices will be sent once registration is confirmed)General Team Information (I will add another team suit option tomorrow)The Pool, grounds and snack bar clean
