We are the Ladies Auxiliary of Prince Georges Knights of Columbus Council 2809. We have pledged to aid, assist, and support Prince Georges Council 2809 in promoting charitable, social, cultural, and religious objectives to further the Catholic principles upon which the order is founded. The Knights of Columbus are committed to the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. They provide financial protection for families, support the Catholic Church, and engage in charitable works to aid the less fortunate.
The purpose of this organization shall be to assist the Prince Georges Council, Knights of Columbus, in meeting its goals and objectives, to undertake charitable endeavors or community service projects when feasible and in alignment with the principles of the Catholic Church, and to provide an opportunity for the women of the 2809 Council and our local parishes to meet for service and fellowship. The membership to this organization shall be open to women relatives over 18 years of age (wives, mothers, mothers-in-law, daughters, sisters, etc.), regardless of religious affiliation, of members in good standing (living or deceased) of any Knights of Columbus Council, or a woman over 18 years of age, regardless of religious affiliation, and who has been recommended to the organization by a current member in good standing.
