weekend at the pool! It started with a beautiful Mass on Sunday morning followed by a delish breakfast! We camped, swam, grilled, played cards, and cornhole! Bill Judd did an amazing job “spinning” tunes, Rich Little, Doug Amann and Mary Robey were flippin’ burgers, frying fries and scooping ice cream, (THANK YOU), GK Tom Chestlo and Doug Amann ran super fun egg toss’s, musical hoola hoops, sack races and the traditional coin <img src="https:

toss! It was an amazing weekend, we appreciate everyone who made it so awesome and can’t wait till next year!
The men’s softball league tournament did not disappoint! ALL the games were competitive and fun to watch! Rosensteel got lucky <img src="https:
//cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/jdecked/twemoji@v17.0.2/assets/72×72/1f604.png” alt=”” style=”display:inline;width:20px;min-height:16px;vertical-align:middle;padding:0px 2px;”>
and hit a homerun with men on, at the bottom of the 7th to beat Holy Redeemer and advance to the championship against the still-hadn’t-lost-a-game St. J’s. Rosensteel took the first game but they needed to beat St. J’s twice! BUT St. J’s prevailed after a challenging game and became the 2026 K of C 2809 men’s league <img src="https:

Real quick: “Let’s talk crab feast and why it matters”. (by PGK John Foley) The crab feast is of course an AWESOME time. Some of the best crabs you will ever eat, coupled with some of the best food you will ever eat. Everything is made in house. There is no catering company, etc., just a bunch of volunteers coming together to put on a huge event.
But why do we do it?
Besides being a very fun time, the crab feast helps our Council shore up our budget, which means greater support for our Catholic Parishes and our local community. When our budget ends do not meet, we have to start picking and choosing which initiatives and programs we are going to support. When we have a slam dunk crab feast, that means we can do it all.
Some of the programs and initiatives that our Council supports:
Local parish food banks
Coats for kids
Supporting our Seminarians
Local pregnancy support centers
General parish support
Funding for our various family and community council activities
The crab feast is more than just a good time, it supports our Council directly , and helps us get the job done.
Vivat Jesus!
