Happenings 10.08.26

Hi all!  What a gorgeous week we’re having, ay?  This evening would be perfect for dinner  on the deck at the Clubhouse!
Big thanks to PGL Stacey Foley and all her helpers who pulled off a wonderful yard sale last Saturday!  Thanks to all the table renters, I hope it was a success and you now have at least one clean closet or drawer!   The money collected at the yard sale will go to the Ladies Auxiliary current projects, benefitting local food banks.
The outcome wasn’t  what what we wanted for the Commanders game last Sunday, but the breakfast buffet was  delish!  Eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, fruit………..and the home made Bloody Mary mix by PGK Stephen O’Shaughnessy was amazing!   Big thanks to Joe Scafone and Steve Hamrick for all their hard work making the day much better!!
The Commanders  play at 1:00 pm this Sunday, against the Giants.  The Clubhouse will have food and drink specials.  Currently on tap is Guinness and Sam  Adams Oktoberfest.  Down East Pumpkin Cider will be back next Thursday!  Families with kids are always welcomed!  Hope to see you.
The Council 2809 Annual Car Show is Saturday, October 17th, please see the attached flyer.
Keep Sunday, October 18th open!  We’re planning a fun Oktoberfest inside/outside!  Good food, drink, music, cornhole tournament – we’re working on the details as we speak!
Also keep Saturday, November 7th open – we’re having a Quarter Auction!  We haven’t had one in a while, all proceeds to benefit the Grand Knight Fund for the charities that the Council supports!  It will start at 1:00 pm.  Fantastic time to start your Christmas  shopping!  Details soon!
Taco Tuesday is October 13th.
Of course every Saturday evening is Bar♦♣ Bingo and Queen of Hearts – fun starts at 7:30 pm.  You should check it out!
The Friday night dinner special is Chicken Piccata Pasta with homemade Blueberry Crumble bars for $15.  Please pre-order here:  https://tinyurl.com/yjh9srdw
I can’t think of much else.  Once we wrap up all the details about the Oktoberfest, I’ll send out a flyer, same with the Quarter Auction.  Have a great weekend,  hope to see  you soon!
