Coats for Kids:
The Peter B. Teeley Children’s Charities Foundation has distributed brand-new winter coats to more than 54,000 children from 30 local charities and community organizations in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, valued at over $1,600,000.00.
CCF’s goal is to distribute 5,000 coats this year!
Charities were selected in advance so that each child receives a coat of an appropriate size. Money to purchase the coats is raised at the CCF Golf Tournament and local Truist Branches throughout the Greater Washington Region.
For the past six (6) years, we provided coats to the 2,000 reported homeless children in D.C., along with thousands more in Northern Virginia and neighboring Maryland counties. This is the first time that an organization has met this goal, including the District of Columbia Government.
The kid’s coat giveaway is in its eleventh year and is one of hundreds of projects the Foundation has funded that offer help to at-risk and disadvantaged youth.
