Hello everyone, I hope this message finds you well and
warm! Last weekend was a lot of
fun at the Clubhouse, absolute amazing Friday night
dinner and super fun Bar
Bingo with the Queen
of
Hearts on Saturday. Thank you to everyone who partook!! It's Fat
Tuesday on the 17th and we'll be celebrating by clearing out our

cupboards with our breakfast-for-dinner special! I'm not sure if we'll have a King
Cake, but I do believe we have beads! Here's a little tidbit about Fat
Tuesday: Fat Tuesday, or Mardi Gras, is a traditional, festive “last feast” held the day before Ash Wednesday to indulge in rich foods like meat, sugar, and fats (paczki, king cake) before the fasting, reflection, and 40-day abstinence of Lent. It marks the culmination of Carnival season with parades,
masks, and celebrations in various cultures.Wednesday, February 18th is Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent. This is a request from Pope Leo XIV “I would like to invite you to a very practical and frequently unappreciated form of abstinence: that of refraining from words that offend and hurt our neighbor.” Ash Wednesday marks the start of the 40-day Lenten season for Christians, beginning a period of fasting, reflection, and repentance leading to Easter. Held on February 18, 2026, it involves services where ashes, typically from previous Palm Sunday palms, are placed on worshippers' foreheads in a cross, symbolizing mortality and sorrow for sins. The Friday night dinner is Shrimp
Alfredo, (with homemade Alfredo
Sauce), garlic bread, side
salad and
dessert for $15.00. Please pre-order here: https://tinyurl.com/57knnhnjLadies
of the Knights have their monthly meeting on Saturday, February 21st at 10:00 am in the Clubhouse. Have some
ideas for our Council to
grow? A fun event you'd like to
discuss? We would like to form a committee for “grounds”, once

Springtime arrives. Are you willing to spearhead it? Come on up and share
your ideas! Saturday evening is Bar

Bingo and Queen
of
Hearts – she's still hiding!! Starts at 7:30 pm. Plan on celebrating St. Patrick's
Day a little early at the annual St. Paddy's
Day party
on Sunday, March 15th. Please see the attached flyer for all the information. That is it, I can't think of much else. Hope to see you all soon! Take care.KofC Clubhouse
