The shuffleboard league continues on Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting at 7:00 pm. No Commanders game on Sunday, but the Clubhouse will open at 12:30 pm. Ravens play at 1:00 pm if you’re interested. Quarter Auction supporting the AquaKnight Swim Team on Saturday, November 23rd. Please see the attached and spread the word! Super fun game for the whole family! Chili cook off Sunday, November 24th.
A few notes from our Grand Knight, John Foley:
– Greetings Brothers, (sorry for the delay for this one, but I think it’s worth knowing) On Monday, November 11th, we will have our normal meeting BUT, we will hold this meeting at Little Sisters of the Poor so that Msgr. Bazan can join us. I talked to him, and I think he is pretty excited about it! It is obviously a little bit further than the Clubhouse for most, but bringing the meeting to Msgr. will be worth it. Start time is still 7:30, but please try to be a little bit early so you can check in. My plan is to have the front desk direct people to our meeting room.
Please consider coming out for this, as it will mean quite a bit to our beloved Chaplain. Other things coming up-November 25th – Memorial Mass at 7pm at the council (in lieu of a meeting)December 9 – Tampico’s Fundraiser! (in lieu of a meeting). Come out to Tampicos and a portion of your bill will be donated to the council. December 15 – Breakfast with Santa Shameless Plug- your Grand Knight will be cooking up wings at the clubhouse on November 27th, the day before Thanksgiving. I dusted off this old wing sauce recipe from my vault and I am excited to give it a try.
The only other thing I got is that we are running a ‘Keep Christ in Christmas’ contest with St. Josephs this year. Sometime during the first two weeks of December, we may try to have a ‘judging night’ where we judge the entries. I am not sure how many entries we will get, but it could be a decent number. Maybe we can call it an informal Christmas mixer? 🙂 that’s all I have for now! Hope to see you soon!
