| | | | Hello there everybody! I hope you’re having a fantastic week! We have a few “happenings” coming up that we would like to share! Thanks to everyone who came out for the Theology on Tap Monday! Shuffleboard has continued on Tuesday and Thursday evenings – super fun! Friday nights dinner special is fresh made Gyro’s with fries and a surprise dessert – yum! Please pre-order here: tinyurl.com/2cj8hnjc
Saturday the 30th, Council 2809 will host a Trunk or Treat! Please see the attached flyer for all the information. Also attached is the SHARE Program menu for November. St. Joseph’s Church in Beltsville is in need of various items for their food pantry. The is fully stocked to meet the immediate need of those we help, but in light of the quickly approaching holiday season, there is much work to be done. We are preparing to make 70 Thanksgiving baskets. Items for those baskets will be accepted up to November 14th. Items needed are: Stuffing, Cream of Mushroom soup, Liter of juice, Canned beans, boxed instant potatoes, Mac & cheese, Rice, Cake mix & frosting, gravy, canned vegetables, and Corn bread mix. We appreciate and accept any donations of food that are both unopened and unexpired, as well as gift cards to Aldi, Costco, Giant and Dollar Tree. A box will be placed in the Clubhouse for all donations, thank you!! Washington Football Team play Sunday at 4:25, and we’ll be open! Upcoming events to mark in your calendar: Taco Tuesday: November 9thWacky Wing Wednesday (new wings): November 17thChili Cook-off: November 21st Christmas Open House: December 5th. Please keep 4th Degree Member Sir Knight, Chris Coker and his family in your prayers, he passed away earlier this week. Also, please keep Mrs. Patricia Reilly and her family in your prayers. Mrs. Reilly passed away earlier this week too. Her son Kevin was a PGK, and I remember her as the snack bar lady – for YEARS she worked that snack bar. 5 cent candy necklaces….those were the days.
