Hi there everybody!  I hope you had a fun and safe 4th of July!  It was a blast here at the Knights of Columbus!  With the pool, the snack bar (thank you Rich Little and Doug Amann) the fun games (thank you Smitty) : egg toss, sack races and tug of war to name a few…..all the grillin’ and chillin’, cornhole games, kickball, the evening festivities (thank you Paul Mc) and the additional fun in the Clubhouse (thanks Tom Chestlo and Matt O ).  Thank you to all the volunteers who helped out and to everyone who participated in the fun!  It was a wonderful day.   Today, Taco Tuesday   will be at the Clubhouse starting at 6:00 pm.  All taco’s are $1.50 a piece.  Beef or Chicken, with a fixins bar and chips. Kickball has been stalled until this weather co-operates!    Stay tuned for a date when we will start!  BUT – instead, why not play a little shuffleboard tonight?  It’s indoors, a lot cooler, you can practice your skills or learn how to play the game!  Shuffleboard starts at 7:00 pm.   Don’t forget the Knights of Columbus for any of your catering needs!  (and tell your friends)  We have a beautiful 13 acre outdoor area with two pavilions, kids activities and more!  The Clubhouse has three rooms that you can rent depending on your needs!  The Fernandez room, (banquet hall) the bar room, which includes the huge deck and shuffleboard room for your food (currently, can only be rented for daytime events, plus all day Sunday and Monday) and the downstairs room, which is “cozier” than the upstairs banquet room.  It has a bar too – in fact the bar came from the original  K of C 2809 that was on Route 1, next to the American Legion!  You can bring your own caterer, or let the Knights of Columbus do the cooking!   Have questions?  Please call the Clubhouse at 301-345-4076.   The award winning AquaKnights are 4 – 0!!  They have a home meet this Saturday and our annual Mini Meet is Sunday!  Please keep the swimmers and the volunteers in your prayers while they try to beat the heat and win another meet!  (I didn’t mean it to rhyme  ) lol Bar Bingo and the Queen of Hearts on Saturday starting at 7:30 pm.  Nobody guessed where the Queen was last week, (Andrew) so the pot is well over $7500.00!  Hope to see you!   The Friday night dinner special is steamed shrimp and hushpuppies with a surprise dessert!  Please pre-order here: Online Survey Software | Qualtrics Survey Solutions
