| | | | Hello there everybody, it’s hard to believe Memorial Day weekend is here!!!  WOW!   I hope you all are excited about a fun filled summer!   We have a lot planned for this weekend, I hope you can stop by for a while!   The most exciting announcement is THE SWIMMING POOL will be open – YAY!  Huge thanks to everyone who donated their time and sweat and tears to make this happen!  GK Tim and Susan Keifline,  PGK Matt O’Hare, PGK Doug Amann, Rich Little, Clyde and Bernadette Wilson, Joe Scafone, Jim Lintner, John and Stacy Foley, Colleen and Mike Smith, Patrick Smith, Bridget Smith, PGK Steve O’Shaughnessy, PGK Patrick Macy, Josh Amann, Jim Seminara, Tom Chestlo and Angela and her kids!!  The pool looks spectacular, the grounds are beautiful, and the snack bar is ready for some action!  Can’t wait for the crinkle cut fries (personal fav) lol.   We’re planning on camping all weekend, (yes, the bathrooms will be open) Mass on Sunday at 9:00 am,  family music trivia under the pavilion Sunday evening, some grillin’ in the grove, Bill Judd will be spinning tunes Sunday and Monday, some cornhole and Opening day for softball is the 29th!  Oh, and it wouldn’t be a family weekend without a little fun egg-toss too!     And guess what?  We have an 8th team for the softball league this year – YAY!!  So excited for Funday Sundays!! In the Clubhouse,  the Friday night dinner special is Smashburgers and hot dogs with fresh cut fries and a surprise dessert.  If possible, please pre-order here:   https://tinyurl.com/yec53pew

Saturday night is Bar Bingo, starting at 7:30 pm, bring your friends, it’s lots of fun and the kitchen is open too!  Did you know we now offer rye bread?  marble rye at that, it’s delish!   The shuffleboard banquet is Friday, June 5th.   Next weeks Happenings will be a little late, hopefully out by next Thursday.   I was sad to hear that Jo Oliver passed away last week.  Jo and Jim and their 4 kids were such a big part of the pool, all of them swam for the Aquaknights and Jim was the go-to electrician.  Jo managed our Credit Union (yes, we had our own Credit Union, downstairs of the Clubhouse and it was awesome and I wish we still had it) for years.  They had retired and moved to West Virginia.  Please keep Jo and her family in your prayers.   Summer camp registration is attached.  Well, that’s all I have for now.  Don’t forget family movie night is June 10th!  Have a fun weekend, see you soon!
