Hello there everybody, I hope you’re doing well! A bit of “happenings”, so go grab that iced tea and get comfortable! lol Today there is a Wednesday after work Happy Hour from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Clubhouse, come on up! We’ve waited over 40 days for this Friday night dinner special – that’s right, it’s STEAK NIGHT! yay. Please pre-order here: https://tinyurl.com/2p92fk8eQR Code Scan this QR Code to preview your survey on your own device. Special THANK YOU to Doug & Josh Amann and Michael Moone for coming out on Saturday, April 23 to clean up the grounds and pool. We will have another clean up on Saturday, May 14 and Saturday, May 21 from 10-2. You do not have to volunteer the whole day, but if you are available for even an hour during one of those times we would greatly appreciate any help. We will be repairing & painting picnic tables, power washing pool and other areas, clean pool chairs, weeding, preparing the snack bar. If you have any extra flowers that can be used in some of the beds around the snack bar/pool area we greatly appreciate that. Please email Susan & Tim at skeifline@comcast.net if you are available to help on one of those dates and we will stay in contact.
May is just around the corner, which should make you start thinking about the pool, and what to do with the kids for the summer? The Knights of Columbus has an answer! Attached please find the membership form for the swimming pool and log here for summer camp info: https://kofccamp.wordpress.com/ SHARE menu attached for May. The Aquaknight Swim Team is getting ready for a fun summer too! And the Mini Meet is coming back! We have a new crew running the league, (huge big thanks to Colleen Smith, Joyce Cooper, and Jenn Gramiccioni) and I’m asking for anyone who has helped run the Mini Meet in the past, to help JUST ONE MORE TIME! 🙂 even if you were a swimmer, that would be great! Please contact Mary Fran Lintner at 301-335-3106 if you’re willing to help out. I believe the Mini Meet will be Sunday, July 17th, just waiting on confirmation of the meet calendar. THANK YOU!! A special thank you to Grand Knight Dave Alessandrini, Lady Janet, Patrick Macy, John Foley, Michael Smith, Steve O’Shaughnessy, Rick Warner, Deputy Grand Knight and Lady Susan for helping with the Widows Luncheon on Sunday, April 24. As well as Dick Bissell and his band for providing lovely music. The ladies treated to a delicious meal, and it was our honor to host them for the afternoon. Carolyn Lank said, “How anyone can top this one is really going to be hard. Many thanks to all the workers that took time out of a Sunday to make us feel special.”
