Happenings

| | | | Hello there everybody!  I hope you had a warm and cozy Valentine’s Day, and we thank everyone that came out and donated blood for the Red Cross Blood Drive!  If you didn’t get a chance to show your wife how much she means to you, how about marrying her all over again?  Please see the attached information about the Wedding Renewal Mass on February 20th.   Wow what a Super Bowl Game, huh?  Congratulations to everyone who had a square that “won”!  We had an exciting and large crowd for the game, thanks for making it so fun!  Huge thank you and gratefulness to Marie Bohorfoush for all her hard work, organizing all the pools, give-aways etc.  that’s needed to make the day exciting!  And more huge thanks and gratitude to Pat Macy, PGK for his creative and delicious food menu, and to his assistants Stephen O’Shaughnessy PGK, John Foley and Mike Smith for all their hard work in the kitchen!  The food was amazing and you guys are the best!!  Thank you! The Friday night food special is Enchilada’s!  With Spanish Rice and Dessert for $15. Please pre-order here:  https://tinyurl.com/4n3nj3m7 Don’t forget, Bar Bingo every Saturday evening starting at 7:30 pm.  On Saturday the 26th we’ll be hosting a Bar Bingo along with some guest bartenders – The Our Lady of Sorrows Softball Team!! (yellow) It will be so much fun, I hope you can make it!   The Clubhouse is hosting a St Patrick’s Day Party on Sunday, March 13th.  Please see the attached flyer.  The DC Parade is not happening, but the Clubhouse is – come on out!   A message from the Swimming Pool Commissioners:  I hope this message finds you well in 2022. If you are like us, you are counting down the days until warmer weather is on the horizon. While we have snow on the ground and blustery winds outside, what better way to think of warmer days ahead than by closing your eyes and envisioning yourself laying poolside, catching some sun surrounded by family and friends at the Knights of Columbus 2809 Pool. 2022 Knights of Columbus 2809 Pool Membership is now available for purchase. Purchase your membership before March 1, 2022 and you will pay 2021 prices.
Please reach out to us with any questions. We look forward to seeing you opening Memorial Day weekend! It is with a broken heart that I share the news that Tyler Carter “The Legend” passed away over the weekend.  Tyler has left a huge hole in our Clubhouse World and he will be sadly missed.  Tyler was an Aquaknight, camped with his family on the long weekends, played darts, played shuffleboard, was on the St Mary’s Softball Team (blue).  During the summer you could find him volunteering in the snack bar or helping pick up the trash at the end of the day.  At the Clubhouse he cooked in the kitchen, changed the fryer oil, went grocery shopping, did the dishes, or whatever needed to be done.  Please keep his mother Peggy Owens and his sister Mandy in your prayers.
Have a great rest-of-your-week and hope to see you soon!
