Greetings all!  I hope you had a relaxing and fun Labor Day Weekend!  I know we did at the Pool and Grove!  It is something really special to see the comraderies of the members and all the kids – whether it’s in the egg toss, swimming in the pool, playing on the equipment, making life long friends.  The men’s softball league is a tradition going on over 55 years!   Just smelling the amazing food that’s being grilled and shared.  Sunday Mass at the Grotto.  Catching up with friends you haven’t seen in a while. I feel very blessed to be a part of this summer family and look forward to it every year.   Lots of end of the summer THANK YOU’s!   The swimming pool committee:  Mary Zitto Smith, Laura Hehman, Lindsay Myers, Ellen Hagerty and Stacey Foley – THANK YOU!!   Snack Bar Chef’s:  Rich Little and Doug Amann, PGK, THANK YOU! (and to their wives for letting them donate their time every Sunday)  Big thanks to our Grand Knight John Foley, and the Deputy Grand Knight Mike Smith, for coordinating all the kids games, their advice,  and other fun stuff!  Big thanks to Jim Lintner for emptying the trash cans every Sunday and for coordinating the funds with Marie Bohorfoush, Sue and PGK Tim Keifline,  all the lifeguards, and everyone who helped prepare the pool for opening day!   Whether it was planting some beautiful flowers, or painting the slide – THANK YOU!   It takes a village for sure, and it wouldn’t happen without these people who always have a smile on their face and a “let’s get this done” attitude!  It is an awesome team that is ALWAYS looking for new players!   This Community is what the Fraternity is all about and you don’t want to miss it!   The Shuffleboard League starts Tuesday, Sept 10th.   Anyone who is interested in learning about shuffleboard, or practice a bit, come on up Wednesday evenings.   The fun hasn’t stopped just because the pool is closed – please see the attached flyers for additional information about the Annual Crab Feast, POINT1K, Car Show and the collaboration with the Irish American Club Fall Fest!!   First Washington Football game is Sunday, September 8th at 4:25.  The Clubhouse will be open at 12:30 pm.  Food and drink specials –  (I miss a good Woo Woo) through-out the day!   The Friday night dinner special is Steamed Shrimp!  1 lb. for $15 or 1/2 lb. for $8.  With hush puppies (have you tried them with hot honey? – delish) and a dessert.  Please pre-order here:  Online Survey Software | Qualtrics Survey Solutions

Nobody hit the Queen of Hearts on Saturday (sorry Eddie) – now the pot is over $10,500!!  Bar Bingo starts at 7:30 pm, with a 50/50 and the Queen of Hearts being pulled at halftime.  Big thanks to Sean Moriarty for calling the cards every Saturday evening.  He is a patient man.   I can’t think of much else.  Please take a look at the flyers and continue to support your Knights of Columbus.  Can’t wait to see you!
