It’s TACO TUESDAY! Starts at 6:00 pm, free fixin’s bar and free chips, all in the Clubhouse. It’s the last one for the summer . Beef and / or chicken – $1.50 each. Soft and hard shells. Come up and let the kids swim in the pool! Also today is the Shuffleboard League annual meeting, starting at 7:00 pm. We will chat about the schedule, rule changes and anything else that comes to mind. Just a wee bit interested?, then come on up! Good chance there will be a blind pig afterwards! Wonder what a blind pig is? You’ll find out! Thank you to everyone who donated their blood at the blood drive! You’re a life saver!! Literally. Have you ever seen someone at the council wearing a PGC 2809 T-Shirt and asked yourself, where can I get one? Good news! The council is running a small T-Shirt fundraiser! Saturday is Bar Bingo, Queen of Hearts (over $8500.00!!) and a pre-season Washington Football game! ALL this fun starts at 7:00 pm. Have you purchased your square for the 50/50? Good time to get it is NOW! Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the upcoming POINT1K, CRAB FEAST AND CAR SHOW! Please see the attached flyers for all the info. Crab Feast tickets are at the Clubhouse or call/text Mary Fran at 301-335-3106 and let her know how many you need. There is also a flyer for the awesome POOL MAGNETS. Show your pride! Please keep Msgr. Joaquin Bazan in your prayers and if you can, please visit him! PGK Dick Bissell says that Msgr. is requesting visits from anyone who could spend an hour or two with him. He is at the “Little Sisters of the Poor” under Hospice care. You need to call the receptionist and she will connect you to his nurse. Tell her what time you would like to visit and she will tell you if that’s a good time. He’s taking strong pain meds and he nods off while you are conversing, but he’s happy to have a visitor.
